A Thankful Thanks Challenge Card

Hello and welcome to my little blog space! I am so glad your here to view my next challenge card. I've recently been browsing some new blogs and decided to join in their fun (see below) I used lots of techniques for this card. I just couldn't stop embellishing!
First I used Mojo Monday sketch #317.  I LOVE this sketch becuase it leaves so much flexibility to use a variety of sized objects. I chose to modify the square sketch to fit an A2 sized card.
I won these challenges for this card
11/04/13 11/06/13

11/08/13  11/19/13

In addition, a few of the challenges required fall themes so I reached for my Authentique Thankful 6x6 paper pad. I used dry and wet embossing on the brown patterned strip of paper. I dry embossed and inked the pumpkins and popped up the center layer with some pop dots and added some faux stitching all around. I also added the raffia and the ribbon for some texture and softnests.

Here's a closer look at all the embellishments.

Materials:
Cuttlebug Pumpkin Harvest embossing folder
Cuttlebug Herringbone embossing folder
Cuttlebug Baby's Breath embossing folder
Hero Arts sentiment stamp
brown ribbon bought by the yard from Wal-mart
Cricut pumpkins cut from Everyday paper Dolls cartridge

I just love making fall cards! They just seem to come easy to me unlike winter or Christmas themed cards. uggh! lol.

Thank you for visiting and please check out the challenge blogs I've entered for more inspiration. If you become a new follower I'll send you a shout out on my Feature Friday post. Card Making Monday # 19 - Celebrate an Anniversary

Card Making Monday! It's another week and another opportunity to make something beautiful. I really love this image from Lili of the Valley. I don't have any happy Anniversary sentiment stamps so I improvised with the celebrate sentiment and then I can modify the inside to fit an anniversary. I used a simple Bonus sketch from OWH (Operation Write Home). #B-31. I am also entering this card in a few challengs (see below)
The patterned paper is from MME Lost & Found-Blush.

These are the Copic Markers I used.

I hope you enjoyed viewing this card and make it a point during this  busy week to be creative and make something beautiful! Enjoy your Monday! Scrapbook Saturday #17 - No More Books

Hello and welcome! It's Saturday!!!!!! So for this layout I kept it super simple to let the colors and sharpness of the photos shine through. These are items my son made in his freshman year of highschool drafting shop. His future goal is to be an engineer and these projects were his first taste of design in engineering.
Here is a close up of the cut file I used from Designers Calendar Cricut cartridge. I used only 1 embellisment cut in a few different sizes. I think it keep some nice consistency throughout. I'm going to go back to add a typed journaling block. I'm not sure how I forgot about that step. lol
Here's another close up look og the title cut with SCAL.

I hope you enjoyed my page and are inspired to use some simple embellishments in varying sizes. let me know what you like best about this page and please consider following my blog and my crafting journey. Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend! Don't forget to make something beautiful!

Black & White Floral

Hello All! I'm have another challenge card. I've had a hard time with Mojo lately. But here goes....
I am enering this card in a few challenges (see below). I used Mojo Monday sketch #316 for the design.
For this card, I used some ribbon I picked up at Michaels, just a basic black satan. I added a cloth covered button from my stash. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. I cut the Dublin flower using my SCAL and a SVG from SVGCuts.com. I added a pearl brad to the ccenter of the flower ans since the theme was to use black and white I alternated the petal colors.

Here's a close up of the bow and flower.

Using My Tools Thursday # 22 - Prayer

Hello! Welcome! I thought for this card I would use autumn themes and colors.

Pretty basic card with repeated elements. This sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo and has two parts. One for the front of your card and the rest for the inside.

I used repetition on the polka dots by using the gems and repeated the wave design and alternatnig the 2 colors of cardstock.
Boxed in the sentiment and added a nice peice of ribbon and added some faux stitching.

Take card and enjoy your Thursday!

Birthday Bash with Banners

Howdy! Thank you for visiting and browsing my blog! I made a rather simple birthday card this week to fit some blog challenges I've stumbled across recently. I don't typically use purple in my cards but I really liked the polka dot pattern in this paper thus my inspiration.
I used this Freshly Made sketch for a guide and turned it on its side.
I used a few Recollections brads, $ store sentiment stamp, some ribbon from Michaels and a Martha Stewart punch around the page-Double Loops

Using My Tools # 21 - Sympathy with emblesshment

Hello All! Welcome to another Thursday posting. Today is a card that I'm always sad to send but is neccessary at times. For this one I pulled out some embleshments I've had sitting for a while. Admittingly I didn't even know what to do with them when I received them as part of a cardmaking kit. It's the scallops at the top middle part of the card. They are from Artisan Elements.  I colored in the tag-like embellishment using my copic marker in Garnet.
The papers come from my MME Lost and Found- Blush 6 x 6 paper pad and Berrylicious and Quicksand Bazil cardstock.

The sentiment is part of a Gina K set. Just love the set of stamps I got from her. So wish and hope I can pick up more some day.

That's it for today. I hope you enjoyed vierwing my card and are inspired to make something beautiful today.

Card Making Monday # 17 - Bravo!

Welcome to my little space on the blogsphere! I'm so glad your visiting and hope you take some time to browse my other postings.
On this card I use what was left of my graduation stickers I had in a Jolee pack from this past Mays multiple graduation card needs. Boy, did I feel like I added everything but the kitchen sink in this card! I just smashed as much as I could in embellishments on this card. lol This card is bit of an odd size. It's 5.25 by 5.25. I found out anything larger than a 5.5 inch card has to be weighed by the postal service and costs WAY more than a stamp so I make them just a bit smaller so I can use the typical stamp to mail it.

I added some stitching and the embossed sentiment is by Cuttlebug.

I hope you become inspired to use up some old stickers for your cards and just "smash" as much as you can into a card without it becomeing too busy. Please leave a comment below letting me know what you like best and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and stop by for my Thursday and Saturday postings. Now it's your turn to make something beautiful today!

Eat Cake!!!!

Hello! So I have some birthdays coming up and I thought I'd take advantage of the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge- have your cake and Crafting By Designs (Anything Goes-ribbon) this week and combine it with the Seize the Sketch challenge to create this card.
The stamp on the bottom and the sentiment are form Stampin Up. My sister gave them to me for Christmas last year.
I used Sweet Treats for the Cake set at 31/2 and the swirls are peiced (I cut it up) from Home Decor. Then I added some prima flowers with gem brasds for the centers and the gem at the top of the sentiment is a sparklite from Megan Elizabeth.

I hope you enjoyed my card. Please leave a comment letting me know what you like best about it. I appreciate your comments.I had great fun making it!
Please also consider following my blog...if you do (please let me know in the comment section with your blog address) and I'll send you and your blog a shout out on my Feature Friday post.
