Card Making Monday # 26 - New Years Cheers

Hello followers and friends!
Welcome back for another card creation. It's New Years Eve and 2014 is just around the corner. We are expecting a heavy snowfall for tomorrow so we may be snuggled up with a cup of cocoa tomorrow. Perfect crafting (or movie watching or reading) weather.
I hope you enjoy this card and find inspiration in it. Please take some time to browse my other posts while leaving comments on this or any other. I love to hear your comments and always try to reply to every one.

For this card I used My Minds Eye Fine & Dandy 6x6 patterned paper pad along with bazill cardstock. The cheers stamp is from JoAnns $ section. The card design is Mojo Monday sketch 11/5/2012.

I added some rhinestones for the bubbles, I used the Copic markers below to color in the champagne, added some glitter glue and then topped it with glossy accents to give it a life-like glass look. I also added glossy accents to the glitter ribbon to keep the glitter from flaking off.

Crafting Cafe DT Challenge Card-Sketch

Hello and welcome friends! My name is Amy and I'm so thrilled to be posting my first Design Team card with The Crafting Cafe. I live in New England, Massachusetts specifically over here in the US. This month at The Crafting Cafe we've been working with sketches that Nikki has created. I chose sketch #3-see sketches below.

Even though it's already past Christmas I still have the Holiday spirit and wanted to create my last Christmas card. For this card i wanted to keep the stamp image simple so that it can shine. I felt just adding some color to his face and hos hat worked best. I did add some Glossy Accents to his glasses so when you touch that area it is smooth.

This is a close up of the paper flowers I cut using a SCAL file from SVGCuts.com Merry & Bright. I added some stamen centers from my cake decorating stash. i thought they gave the card a bit more texture.

Products:
Merry & Bright SVG
 Bazill cardstock
Hero Arts stamp
Copics E00 &E07
Gems from JoAnn Fabrics
May Arts Twine
Candy cane/santa hat brads from Oriental Trading
Glossy Accents
DP Blissful Blizzard by Fancypants

Scrapbook Saturday # 24 - Angry Birds

Hello and Happy Saturday! I just love today's page showcasing the many hours my family spends on technology. It seems my children and my husband like to play angry birds. I'm not a person to spend hours on my tablet or phone playing games. I'd much rather be crafting, reading or baking. But I had to capture this moment.

Here's a close up of the angry bird figures. It took forever to make these.! lol
I pieced each one by hand. I made several of each just to make sure I had enough and then actually was able to use a few on a card later on for my step son's birthday card.
I also made a cake to look like the red bird (picture of the cake is on the My Cakes tab)

I used the shapes on Cricut Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.

I hope you enjoyed my project!

Tip Top Tuesday Christmas Party

Hello and welcome to a new challenge over at Tip Top Tuesday
First let me say a very BIG MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all! I pray you make warm memories with loved ones and that your new year finds peace, hope and joy.

For this challenge, it was my pleasure to color and use the image Fanny Calendar Months-December by Bugaboo Digi Stamps  for my scrapbooking layout. I think she's so sassy and perfect for some photos I took of me and the kids standing in lines on Black Friday at midnight.

I used some strips of Christmas paper. I klove this layout for the simple fact I can use some leftover scraps. I embossed the Christmas ornaments and then embossed the raised portions with clear embossing powder.

I used a sketch by Susan Stringfellow at Sketch Savvy for inspiration

Here's a close up of the fantastic image!

Products:
Bugaboo Digi image
Scraps from my stash
Clear embossing powder
Divine Swirl Embossing folder

613 Create-1960 Couture Style Hat

Happy Sunday visitors, and friends! Welcome to the newest card post for 613 Avenue Create Challenge blog!

Today I'm very lucky to showcase a card using a Digi image by our sponsor  Rick St. Dennis called 1960 Couture Style Hat.

For this challenge it's Anything Goes!
With this beautiful lady I knew I wanted to keep the whole project black and white. I grabbed my Provocraft Gypsy and went to work finding swirls and flourishes to embellish the card with. I also thought some feathers would add some different texture.
Here's a close up of the image and embellishments. I added clear glitter glue to the white pieces and black glitter glue to the black pieces. I thought a shiny slide and some soft ribbon would be a nice finishing touch for this little lady.

This card was chosen Top 3 at:

Scrapbook Saturday # 23 - Texas Proud

Hi There! Welcome bloggers and visitors for another Scrapbook Saturday! I hope you enjoy browsing my blog and feel free to post comments on any post you like. I love to hear your comments. They inspire and challenge me.

Today's page takes advantage of some of the design on the 12 x 12. I rarely use patterned paper for the base of a scrapbook layout.

I typically use patterned paper as an embellishment tool or accent to the plain colored card stock. But in this case I used a portion of the 12 x 12 to house the text box journaling and it actually looks like the journaling is coming forth from the hole in the jean!

That's all for now; just a quick simple layout. I hope you enjoyed my layout! Come back and check out my Design Team post for 613 Create Ave Challenge Blog.

Thank you to my followers for always checking out my latest creation and if your visiting please consider following me. If you become a follower I'll send you a shout out on this weeks Feature Friday post and link your blog so others can visit you too.

Using My Tools Thursday # 27 - Holiday Cheer

Welcome! It's getting oh so close to Christmas!!!
So for todays card. I thought I'd pull out a stamp set I infrequently use. I was so excited when these Stamp Around the Page sets came out by Martha Stewart and they are so very cheap when you use a 50% off coupon from Michaels/ACMoore or JoAnns but frankly I really don't use them all that often. However, this is why I started my Thursday postings! To drag out those tools I thought I HAD TO HAVE and use them....
So in honor of Martha and her fun holiday stamp set (and Aspen Snowflake Punch Around The Page) I created this card. Each tier is raised with demensional adhesive. I used my Copic markers to color in the light bulbs and added a Christmas tree brad I picked up through Oriental Trading. The sentiment is from the Holiday Cheer  Hero Arts set.

My cards are not typically this colorful. I am very much into the more nuetral tones but I thought this card will go to one of my more colorful family members whos personality just shouts color.

Thanks for visiting! Don't forget to check back for my Feature Friday post where I choose one of my followers & one of their projects to feature.
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!!! and now it's your turn to make something beautiful......

Card Making Monday # 25 - Snowflake Christmas

Hello and welcome to another Card Making Monday project! Thank you so much for visiting. Todays project showcases a sentment from Hero Arts. The stamped snowflakes surrounding that sentiment are also from the Hero Arts Holiday Cheer set.

I added snowflake brads I picked up from Oriental Trading and used Aspen Snowflake Martha Stewart Punch for the smaller snowflakes and then placed Viva Decor pearl pen centers in each. Bazil cardstock and patterned paper from Fancy Pants called Blissful Blizzard was used as the base.

I hope you enjoyed this project and are inspired to make something beautiful today.
Please leave me a comment letting me know what was your favorite part of this crafty creation.

Scrapbook Saturday # 22 - A Summer Place

Hi There! Welcome bloggers and visitors! Enjoy browsing my blog and feel free to post comments on any of them. Since we've entered the holiday season and colder weather I thought I'd warm things up with a summer photo post. A family outing at our time share.
I used cut outs from Life's A Beach Cricut cartridge to embellish the page. The beach ball only comes as a single image so I cut our multiple images from various colored cardstock and cut and assembled.

I typically use a word document to journal. I like the clean look of the text box when theres a bit more to say than a one liner. I thought it was cute when I made the scuba diver hold the text box journaling.

Yeah! Another Saturday to enjoy followed by some Sundaay crafting time. Off to run errands and finish my Saturday cleaning. I hope you are inspired to scrapbook a fun family vacation or day trip today. Please consider following me and take some time to make something beautiful for yourself today!

Hello and welcome to another Tip Top Tuesday Challenge . For this challenge we are using snowflakes. I am showcasing a wonderful image from Stamp Fairy. The Peeker Kid 4.

613 Ave Create Challenge - Braid My Hair

Hello fellow bloggers, visitors, and friends! Welcome to another Sunday challenge post for  613 Avenue Create Challenge blog!

Today I'm very lucky to showcase a card using a Digi image by our sponsor A Day For Daisy called Braid My Hair.

For this challenge, the design team was asked to "Create a Calendar". Here's my project.
wanted to mimic the softness yet tousled look of the hair so I used the sheer ribbon coupled with the twine. Added the blue rhinestones to pick up the blue in the birds and added the roses to complement the softness in her dress.
Somewhere between taking the first and the second picture the bird sticker fell off the calendar and I can't find him anywhere! I'll probably find that bird stuck to the back of something months from now. lol

Here's the Copics I used to color the image.

Using My Tools Thursday # 26 - A fishy Congrats!

Welcome followers and guests to my Thursday post of using my tools. Every Thursday I try to pull something out of my stash that at one time I thought I just "HAD" to have and finally use it. This time it's the embossing folder and the fish stamp. I can hardly believe I've been doing a regular using my tools Thursday for almost 6 months! Boy, I didn't know how much "STUFF" I was neglecting.

I grabbed some patterned paper and some blue and tan cardstock from my stash. I really tried to use some leftover paper as well.

The congrats senitment is from the Inkadinkadoo Expression & Frames stamp set. I added some embroidery thread and hemp cord.

Here's the Copic markers I used to color the fish. I also added some glitter glue to the fish and some glossy accents to the fish's eyeball

I hope you enjoyed my posting and please comment and let me know what you like best! I love to hear your comments! Have a great thursday and friday and I'll see you back on Saturday for my Scrapbook Saturday posting. You're up! Go make something beautiful!

Card Making Monday # 24 - Cowboy Up!

Hello and welcome to another Monday posting!
With all the business of the holiday and still wanting to get some crafting in. I thought I'd sit down to make a quickie card. I had some of these left over stickers from a set and wanted to put them to good use.  In fact, I'm so used to embellishing my cards that this one seems too simple. lol

I'm not sure what I'll use this card for or whom I give it to but I can imagine I will give it to a child or maybe my husband for a spoof.

I used Giddy Up! Paper Pad for the pattern papers, Bazil Cardstock and OWH sketch #57.

The sticker embellishments are made by PaperHouse.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday season and thank you for visiting. Take care!
