Welcome to Tinsel Tuesday where I am making my Christmas cards early. But....Boy Oh Boy! I'm behind. So I haven't been plugging away at Christmas card making the way I had hoped but I haven't given up. Here's my latest Christmas card. I saw a card tutorial for this little guy and I couldn't resist making him. You can find the tutorial I followed here and on my tutorial tab here.

Here's my card....

I used my Cricut and "Joys of the Season" Cricut Cartridge for the snowflakes along with a cut file from SVGCuts.com for the card shape. The snpowflake stampes are from inkadinkadoo "I think?"

I hope you've enjoyed my latest Christmas card and see you back in a couple of weeks!

CMM # 47 - Paint Chip Sympathy

It's Card Making Monday! Welcome and thank you for visiting! The background for this card is a paint chip grabbed from my local hardware store. You can find the tutorial on my tutorial tab.
I used a dollar stamp to emboss the palm leaves.
The sentiment is a hero arts sentiment and I cut the brances from       Cricut Cartridge. I added some twine to the brances and inked them up.

I love this card because the finished glossy texture looks so elegant and all the guess work of color coordination is done for you.

Scrapbook Saturday # 42 - Whoo Hoo!

Hi There! Welcome friends for this week's Scrapbook Saturday post. Today's Scrapbook page is
a double page layout. we went Zip lining on last years vacation. Yep, I'm still working on vacation photos from 2013. Uggh! But I'm catching up and I had a crop weekend at my house in July so I can say I've cropped all the photographs from 2013 and will be showing you them over the next several months.

I just chose neutral colors for this layout because the photos were a little dark and the images in the photos were distant. I added some embellishments that complemented the nature in the photos. Added some faux stitching and Viola!

Products:
Cindy Loo Cricut Cardtridge
Storybook Cricut Cartridge

UMT # 45 - Decorative Boxes

Time for another Using My Tools post. Using My Tools posts are crafty creations where I pulled something out of my stash that at one time, I thought I just "HAD" to have and finally use it. This time it's these cut files by SVGCuts.com. This is a fabulous set of tiny boxes and I actually was able to get the kit for free but never used it. Well, when I picked up this paper stack I knew it would be perfect for these boxes!

Here's close ups of each box.

I hope you enjoy viewing them and are inspired to pull out some of your cut files or cartridges you haven't used in a while.

Greetings fellow crafters and welcome to another Top Tip Tuesday Challenge. For this challenge we are making something for kiddos!  I chodse this cute image from 2 Cute called Sunflower Girl.

I have a blast gettingcreative with this card. I wanted lots of different textures so I added staples to keep the ribbon in place and printed 3 copies of the image. One on cardstock, one on vellum and a third to trim out the sunflower to use as an embellishment.

I hope you are inspired by my creation and join in our challenge. Don't forget to go back and link your project and don't forget to check out the other wonderful design team submissions for this challenge. Now it's your turn...go make something beautiful...

CMM #46 - Flower Box Card

Good Morning! Welcome to another Card Making Monday. Todays post is my first attempt at making a matchbox pop up card. With this card there is room in the back for a gift card.
I used a SVGCut file to help me make the box that I already had but I got the idea from a tutorial on Youtube. You can find it here and lots more tutorials on my tutorial tab here.

Fall is my favorite time of year so I chose to make this card using fall colors.
I used double sided patterned paper and a strip of the same paper for the belly band. I wantd to dress up the belly band a bit s I added this 3D paper rose and the butterfly. For the butterfly I added gems for the body.

and here is the box opened

Products:
SVG file from Crisp Days of Fall Kit
SVG files from 3D flowers kit
Bazzill card stock
SVG files from Butterflies kit
pearlized pen

Scrapbook Saturday # 41 - We've Made It

Hi There! Welcome visitors for another Scrapbook Saturday post. This will be a short one.  This scrapbook feature a cake I made for my 6th wedding anniversary. I imitated some of the elements and the colors from our wedding cake. The numbers on the cake are cut out of sugar paste on the Cricut and I cut some vellum with my Martha Stewart shears and rolled it up for the little sparkler.

I tried to use lots of scraps on the layout and then kept the other colors neutral with tan and black.

Products:
Plantin Schoolbook- Flowers
Title from SCAL

UMT # 44 - Watercolor Sympathy

Welcome to my newest Using My Tools post. So for new friends and visitors Using My Tools posts are crafty creations where I pull something out of my stash that at one time, I thought I just "HAD" to have and finally use it. This time it's this watercolored image. I painted this while ago in my first attempts at watercolors. I didn't want to discard the flowers so I just put them aside. I think this works together nicely.
The card is really a dark maroon in real life which really complements the black. You can see the true color better in the photo below.

Here's a close-up of the watercolored image.

Take care and go make something beautiful....
